As one of the oldest documentary-only film festivals in the United States, the United Nations Association Film Festival (UNAFF) brings together the interests of human rights advancement and cinematic achievement. The 29th UNAFF will be held October 15–25 in Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Stanford. UNAFF will continue its very popular programs “UNAFF & Kids” and “UNAFF in Schools” and will host panel discussions during which renowned experts will discuss climate change, racism and hate, criminal justice reform, immigration, homelessness, creativity and mental health, women’s issues, war and peace, and the power of art to transform consciousness and inspire social change.

This year’s theme continues the program’s devotion to human rights, with an emphasis on the energy, foresight, and courage required to respond wisely to the increasing pace and challenges of our times.
