Women leaders face unique challenges in the workplace. Although women hold 50 percent of middle management positions, only 11 percent of Fortune 500 CEOs are women. Developing strong leadership skills in areas such as strategic planning, resilience, influence, networking, self-promotion, and risk-taking equips women to meet these challenges and thrive as leaders. This highly interactive course helps women step into leadership roles and lead effectively. We’ll focus on customizing career advancement strategies to find meaning and purpose, while learning tools to reframe obstacles and work toward solutions. Drawing from cutting-edge female leadership models, the course features lectures, role-plays, experiential exercises, coaching, and community learning. You’ll learn to advocate for yourself and your team, enlist mentorship and sponsorship by building meaningful networks, develop a communication style that highlights your accomplishments, and present ideas with impact—creating an authentic and confident executive presence.

While this course focuses on addressing challenges women commonly face, the course is open to everyone, and the techniques and strategies taught will have broad application.
