The environment in which teams and organizations operate can feel uncertain when AI seems to offer increasingly powerful new capabilities every month. How should managers adapt? In this course, we will define and build a leadership toolkit to enable leaders and decision-makers to build resilient teams able to understand and leverage AI even (or especially) as it rapidly advances. We will focus on four primary areas:

  • Distinguishing AI applications according to business purpose and expected organizational impact
  • Common opportunities and challenges of working with AI technologies in complex team settings
  • Effective strategies for managing deployment of multiple AI initiatives across an organization
  • The role of the leader in organizations that are adapting to these new technologies
This course is designed for students who have recent experience working in team or organizational settings employing AI capabilities. We will cover recent findings from researchers at Stanford, MIT, and Google, among others, as well as draw on student insights to understand this evolving topic.
