Project management is more than just keeping schedules on track and managing costs—it's about transforming a team's vision into actionable goals that lead to tangible results. In this hands-on course, we’ll begin by examining case studies from leading companies across multiple industries, analyzing both successful and flawed project management strategies. Students will then apply these insights by working through an actual project scenario, selecting a project, crafting a comprehensive plan, and using the SMART approach (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound) to define goals and objectives. Throughout the course, you’ll become familiar with the use of Waterfall and Agile methodologies, determining when and how to apply each for maximum effectiveness. You'll also gain proficiency in essential project management software, including Microsoft Project and Smartsheet. Whether you're an engineer, business professional, or aspiring project manager, this course will equip you with the skills and confidence to lead projects to successful outcomes in any industry.
