A compelling pitch opens doors because people don’t just remember facts—they remember how you made them feel. Knowing how to tell your story not only helps you sell your message, but also makes it unforgettable. Led by the former Stanford Storytelling Project managing editor, this course teaches you how to talk and write about yourself and your ideas in vivid and compelling ways. We’ll break down the key elements of effective storytelling—structure, voice, clarity—and show you how to use them across various formats, including proposals, job interviews, networking conversations, and presentations. Through writing exercises, improvisational games, and live presentations—including a one-slide pitch and PowerPoint Karaoke—you’ll develop a polished, flexible narrative you can tailor to any opportunity.
