In an era where the traditional software products we use every day rapidly evolve into the AI products of tomorrow, product managers must have a firm grasp of the vast capabilities and limitations of generative AI (GenAI) and its practical applications in the context of product development. Designed for product managers, startup founders, and technology strategists, this course provides concretized examples of how GenAI is revolutionizing the technology industry through a combination of lectures and relevant case studies, offering a unique opportunity to learn from current innovators and real-life scenarios. Throughout the course, students will examine real-world situations, gaining insights into how startups and established companies strategically integrate GenAI into existing and future products. The course will help students build technical skills and decision-making capabilities to align product strategy, advancements in GenAI, and business goals competently.
Prior knowledge of AI is not required, but students should ideally be actively engaged in high-tech product management or performing those functions in building a product.
