Although AI adoption is widespread, few leaders and organizations have achieved true mastery—leaving a gap between basic tool use and transformational management. This course equips early- to mid-level managers to bridge that gap, enhancing their influence and effectiveness with AI while preserving the human elements of leadership and teamwork. Students will learn to apply AI to strategic analysis, design bias-resistant decision frameworks, and develop custom coaching approaches that accelerate team growth. Through hands-on exercises, you will also build personalized AI tools—specialized GPTs and agents—tailored to your priorities while also gaining insights from forward-thinking executives at companies that have redefined how they lead with AI. You will leave with a concrete 90-day implementation plan and custom AI solutions to advance both your organization’s goals and your leadership impact.
No prior AI experience is required. This course relies on the use of an external, third-party tool that is not managed or supported by Stanford. Students must purchase their own tool subscriptions and can expect to spend $25-$100 per month. Please see the course syllabus for more details.
