AI and machine learning are reshaping how organizations operate, but for many leaders, it remains difficult to move beyond the hype and see where real value lies.

This course gives leaders a framework for understanding how AI can be integrated into an organization and where it can create meaningful impact. We examine large language models, generative AI, and agentic systems—what they do well, where they fall short, and how they are being applied in practice today. We also explore the data, infrastructure, and governance required for adoption, along with how teams define roles and accountability for AI initiatives.

Designed for leaders new to AI or with limited hands-on exposure, the course provides a practical understanding of how organizations assess and apply AI. By the end, students will be able to identify AI opportunities, design an early pilot, and brief their teams on key trade-offs and implementation considerations.

The course title and description have been updated since this course was first posted. Familiarity with at least one major large language model (e.g., ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude) is recommended.
