AI is transforming how products are imagined, tested, and brought to market, making rapid experimentation and creative problem-solving accessible to non-technical founders and aspiring product managers alike. This course empowers participants to harness AI to accelerate product development, moving from concept to functional prototype while building a clear understanding of the AI product manager role.
Students design workflows; use AI copilots for research, synthesis, and creative exploration; and iterate solutions efficiently. Class sessions combine lectures, hands-on exercises, and guided peer feedback, enabling students to apply concepts directly to a side project of their choice.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to prototype AI-enhanced solutions, evaluate tools and workflows strategically, and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.

No prior AI experience is required. This course relies on third-party AI tools that are not managed or supported by Stanford. Students will need to use these tools for assignments. Some tools have free versions or trials, but students may need to upgrade if usage limits are reached. Typical costs range from $25–$100 per month. See the syllabus for more details.
