Plant-based nutrition is one of the most powerful ways to improve your health, lose (or maintain) weight, and contribute to a more sustainable world. Scientific evidence shows that many chronic diseases can be prevented, controlled, and even reversed with plant-based nutrition. Further, the plant-based lifestyle is associated with health and longevity, with the world's longest-living populations eating plant-centered diets.
In this course, you will learn the fads, facts, and fiction surrounding different plant-centered diets, including Mediterranean, Blue Zones, vegetarian, vegan, and whole-food plant-based. You will learn what foods to eat and what foods to avoid to promote health, vitality, and longevity. The course will cover why plant-based nutrition makes it easy to lose weight and keep it off without counting calories. It will also discuss animal product alternatives and how to read food labels and find the most health-promoting plant-based foods at the grocery store. The course will focus on real-life applications and include resources, tips, and strategies for a successful transition to a more plant-based lifestyle. At the end of the course, you will have the scientific knowledge and practical advice to tailor your diet to your personal life and food preferences. Whether you are new to plant-based nutrition or could benefit from reviewing key elements of the diet, this course is for you.
