Have you ever wanted to try hip hop dance but felt nervous to give it a go? Here’s a chance to learn one of the world’s most popular dance forms effortlessly with a renowned teacher and choreographer. Hip hop dance is not just a form of movement; it is deeply intertwined with the broader hip hop culture, which includes music and fashion. It is also a highly accessible style. This course introduces beginning students to hip hop’s vibrant expression of creativity, rhythm, and individuality in a fun, interactive setting. Each session will begin with a basic dancer’s stretch, including isolations, followed by guided instruction on movements that are easy to grasp for all fitness levels. As the course progresses, the material will build on itself, and the group will work together through choreographed routines to incorporate movements from several urban and pop styles while integrating influences from other forms such as jazz, contemporary, Latin, and street.
