Nothing establishes authority like a nonfiction book, whether it’s self-help, how-to, science, business, memoir, or whatever else showcases your expertise. While it has never been easier to publish, standing out is challenging. No matter how you bring your book to market (we will discuss the pros and cons of self-, hybrid, and traditional publishing), you need an exceptional book to gain traction.

This course is designed to help you push past procrastination, perfectionism, and self-doubt. Over one immersive weekend, we will turn your rough idea into a roadmap for the book only you can write. Through lectures, exercises, and workshop feedback, you’ll hone your idea into a unique and marketable hook, sketch your structure, and consider ways to build your platform. Past students—including therapists, bloggers, speakers, academics, and entrepreneurs—have landed agents and book deals. You’ll leave with a stronger sense of the book you’re writing, how to finish it, and how to bring it into the world.
