The "Fundamentals of Data Science:” Take Virtual One-Day Workshops on Statistics, Data Visualization, Deep Learning & More
Big data has changed the way we work, live, and play. Data science—developing and testing models and algorithms—helps us gain knowledge for ourselves and provide insights to others.
Fundamentals of Data Science, a series of virtual intructor-led one-day workshops offered by the Stanford Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering (ICME), provides an introduction to multiple aspects of data science for those who are new to the field and those seeking to broaden their education and skills in data science. Students can sign up for one workshop, or several throughout the week. Students who complete four workshops will qualify for an ICME Fundamentals of Data Science Workshops Certificate of Completion.
Discounts:
These workshops are eligible for the same tuition discounts/policies for regular Stanford Continuing Studies courses, including being payable with STAP funds for eligible Stanford staff. ICME offers special discounts for students, staff, faculty, and postdocs, and for eligible affiliates and partners, but you must register through ICME rather than Continuing Studies for these discounts. See below for details:
Staff/faculty/postdocs/students: The tuition for any full-time university staff/faculty/postdocs and community college faculty/staff is $100 and the tuition for full-time students of any university, community college, or high school is $75. For more information and to register with these discounts, please visit https://icme.stanford.edu/events/icme-summer-workshops-2020.
ICME partners and affiliates qualify for a discount; you will also need to register through ICME rather than Continuing Studies. If you think you qualify and have not received a discount code separately, email: [email protected].
