Symphony for Nature: The Story of an Extraordinary Collaboration at Crater Lake

Symphony for Nature is an acclaimed documentary film that tells the behind-the-scenes story of how classical musicians joined with indigenous drummers for a stunning performance of Natural History, a new composition by Michael Gordon inspired by Oregon’s breathtaking Crater Lake. The film features the Britt Festival Orchestra and the Klamath Tribes drum group, Steiger Butte Singers, in a spectacular setting considered sacred by the Klamath Tribes.

This program features a screening of Symphony for Nature and a special ceremonial performance by the Steiger Butte Singers. They will be joined by the acclaimed composer Michael Gordon, the Britt Festival Orchestra conductor Teddy Abrams, and filmmaker Anne Flatté.
