More than 30,000 startups and countless new products launch each year. Over 90 percent of both startups and products fail. Do you want to increase your odds of success? This course will teach the “Ready-Aim-Fire” method of developing ideas into sellable, profitable products and brands.

You will “Get Ready” by learning how to turn your ideas into viable products and services. You will learn step-by-step methodologies to find target markets, assess competition, define differentiators for effective positioning, and establish profit models. Next, you will “Take Aim” at your target markets and develop branding for your productized idea across all media, including company and product name, identity, and tagline. We will drill down into design fundamentals, from color theory to layering; layout best practices; off-and online reproduction; typography; and visual media. We will also analyze effective design and marketing venues, and you will learn how to create images, videos, vines and microposts, websites, and eblasts within their brand parameters. Finally, we will examine SEO/ SEM copywriting best practices, as well as the latest content marketing techniques. We will delve deep into lean launches, with methodology to “Fire,” i.e., launch websites, advertising, and branding at your target markets across multiple media. We will implement social media strategies and public relations campaigns, and review venture capital and crowdsource funding for your new venture. By the end of the course, you will have learned the complete marketing process of actualizing ideas into products and startups for profit.
