Companies that succeed in designing, implementing, and sustaining a positive workplace culture can achieve a clear competitive advantage—whether in recruiting top talent, leveraging diversity, or driving performance and innovation. Most people recognize the importance of company culture, but few have mastered it in today’s environment. Knowing how to lead effectively is even more critical with the adoption of remote, distributed, virtual, or hybrid teams, where culture sets the conditions for maintaining trust, connection with others, and a sense of belonging. In this highly interactive course, we will focus on learning and applying the Design of Work Experience (DOWE) framework—a step-by-step “how-to” for leading company culture. Students will receive templates, examples, and tips for implementing the DOWE framework and will be encouraged to apply what they learn to their own organization’s challenges, in class and in the workplace. Through a blend of research-based teaching and discussion, we will also delve into common organizational issues and explore solutions to unlock a company’s full potential. Leaders will leave the course with new capabilities and practical tools for inspiring trust, collaboration, and alignment in their workplace culture.

This course includes a non-refundable fee of $18 for access to the Organizational Culture Inventory (OCI). This fee will be paid at the time of registration. The instructor will provide more information upon enrollment.
