To keep up with the pace of innovation, today’s business professional needs to present much more like a high-performance athlete than a factory line worker. And like the best athletes, we need to perform at our peak, for ourselves and our teams, despite an increasingly complex and often chaotic world. The year 2020 has been a powerful reminder of this truth. This course will introduce students to the science of peak performance and provide a toolkit to help them apply this science to themselves, their teams, and their organizations through challenge and crisis. By the end of the course, students will be able to implement the neuroscience of habit building, energy management, and resilience to improve individual performance; use artificial intelligence to predict and improve individual and team performance; drive innovation while minimizing chaos; manage complexity while minimizing complications; leverage people analytics to create a growth engine; and develop a peak performance talent strategy. Class sessions will alternate between lecture and workshop formats. Lectures will feature business executives and performance researchers. Certified peak performance coaches will help facilitate workshops. In the final class session, students will share the impact they have seen from their learnings on their own and in their organizations.

Thomas Igeme, Head of People Development, ServiceNow

Thomas Igeme builds technology and learning solutions designed to unlock the potential of people and teams to improve their own performance, drive organizational productivity, and improve social well-being. Prior to leading people development for ServiceNow, he held leadership positions at Trybe.ai, LinkedIn, and Boston Consulting Group. Igeme received an MA in public policy from Stanford.

Naomi Davidson, Leader, Learning and Organizational Development, Blend; Co-Founder and CEO, Trybe.ai

Naomi Davidson’s company uses the latest research in peak performance and artificial intelligence to help leaders of such enterprises as Google, LinkedIn, and Salesforce to improve their own and their organization’s performance. She has had fifteen years of experience in leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and adult learning at McKinsey & Company, Khan Academy, and LinkedIn. Davidson received an MS in mechanical engineering from MIT.
