Negotiating well is critical to success in any field. We negotiate on a daily basis at work, at home, and elsewhere. Yet too often, people lacking strong negotiation skills damage relationships and reach suboptimal outcomes. This interactive course will cover the fundamental principles for achieving excellent results in any negotiation, from colleagues and customers to friends and family members. We will explore the impact of trust, communication, and the balance between collaboration and assertiveness, as well as when to walk away from a negotiation. The course will incorporate a variety of activities, including simulations, role-playing, videos, and discussions, to create a highly engaging experience. Students will come away with practical tools and techniques for generating creative solutions in difficult situations.
