Imagine that your career is plotted out on a map. You’ve already crossed some territory, but it hasn’t led you to career satisfaction. Where do you go next? How do you avoid wrong turns and dead ends? This course will take you on a journey of self-discovery to learn how to navigate your quest for career satisfaction. The course will serve as your compass for exploring the impact of your previous travels and how they can influence future routes. You will identify your directional guideposts such as interests, values, work environment preferences, skills, and personality style. The course will also help you discover hidden treasures such as forgotten dreams, motivators, and resources, and teach you how to navigate around your inner critic and fears. We will use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Career Report and SkillScan, as well as videos, self-reflection activities, assignments, and discussion for this self-exploration. Whether you are plotting the first stop on your career journey, next steps, reentry, or a path toward retirement, you will leave the course with a plan for the next steps on your career map, and will be equipped with tools to help manage internal roadblocks.
