This interactive course is designed for the person who would like to create a new life vision based on either personal or professional goals, or both. Students will explore who and where they are now, where they want to go next, and how to get there. This course blends personal analysis, imagination, and strategic planning to help students determine and achieve their desired future. Those wanting to explore their career path, retirement plans, or work/life balance will find this course beneficial.

Using a unique visual workbook, students will learn how to tap into creative ideas for determining their future life’s path. They will complete assessments and exercises to explore their personality style (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), skills, values, work environment preferences, and interests that will shed light on future plans. Augmenting the typical self-assessment topics, the course will also cover the impact of change on your personality style, exploring what is your life purpose or your ikigai, creating a Vision Board as a visual representation of your life vision, and unpacking your challenges and weaknesses to turn them into opportunities. Small-group work will provide insights from peers also exploring a new future. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to set their vision in motion.

Students must commit to attending all eight sessions, expect at least one hour of homework per week, and be comfortable sharing personal information in a smallgroup setting. The course is a mixture of lecture, group, and individual exercises.
