This course is a combination of T-group (“T” is for training) and class exercises with a focus on building and sustaining relationships. T-group is an experiential way of learning about yourself and others that is the cornerstone of the flagship “Interpersonal Dynamics” course at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. We will work in small groups, each with a facilitator and up to 12 students. There will also be presentations and exercises with the full class. This is real-time, hands-on learning with plenty of opportunities to practice effective interpersonal skills and increase your awareness of your feelings, perceptions, and behaviors. Wisdom in groups can help uncover aspects of yourself that previously were unseen. You will hone your ability to listen fully, to give and receive honest feedback, and to express yourself more authentically. The practice you get during this course in building trusted relationships can be applied with friends and family and at work. You will discover and practice skills to help you effectively communicate in a diversity of environments.

Advanced-level proficiency in spoken English is required. A high level of participation is also required, and students must commit to attending the first three sessions.

Section A and Section B of "Building Interpersonal Skills: An Experiential Workshop" cover the same content.
