This course is a combination of T-group (“T” is for training) and class exercises with a focus on building and sustaining relationships. T-group is an experiential way of learning about yourself and others that is the cornerstone of the flagship “Interpersonal Dynamics” course at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. We will work in small groups, each with a facilitator and up to 12 participants. There will also be presentations and exercises with the full class. This is real-time, hands-on learning with plenty of opportunities to practice effective interpersonal skills and increase your awareness of your feelings, perceptions, and behaviors. Wisdom in groups can help uncover aspects of yourself that previously were unseen. You will hone your ability to listen fully, to give and receive honest feedback, and to express yourself more authentically. The practice you get during this course in building trusted relationships can be applied with friends and family and at work. You will discover and practice skills to help you effectively communicate in a diversity of environments.

Advanced-level proficiency in spoken English is required. A high level of participation is also required, and students must commit to attending the first three sessions.

KEVIN MARTIN
Managing Director, The Martin Leadership Group; Facilitator, Stanford Graduate School of Business

Kevin Martin is an executive coach and a seasoned facilitator of numerous leadership programs at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He has more than 20 years of leadership experience in technology, venture capital, private equity, healthcare, and education. Martin received an MS in management science from Stanford.

CAMPBELL FRANK
Facilitator, Interpersonal Dynamics, Stanford Graduate School of Business

Campbell Frank's work experience includes line manager, helicopter logistics pilot, flight instructor, securities trader, and chief operating officer. He received an MBA, a certificate in public/nonprofit management, and an MA in economics from Stanford.
