Many of us are establishing our careers or raising our families, but find that we have sidelined our own financial planning in the busyness of day-to-day life. Even when we regularly save into our retirement plans, we wonder if we are on the right track. Some of us have successfully accumulated wealth, but worry that we can’t stop working because we aren’t sure if we have enough to maintain our lifestyle or fund our longevity.

This course will present the fundamental steps to assess your financial needs and what it will take to develop peace of mind about your financial future. Importantly, you will learn how to order and gain control over your finances across various life stages—whether as young professionals, mid-career parents raising a family, retirees, newly single, or empty nesters reconfiguring your lives. These practices include cash flow management, tax optimization, risk management, investing (including impact investing consistent with our values), income generation, and legacy planning.

This course will address key principles for organizing your finances in the context of what is important to you, integrating guidelines relevant to each phase of life so you can monitor and adjust along the way as circumstances evolve. Students will leave with simple, practical tools to create a flexible and realistic strategy in building financial security through life's stages.
