For those who want to pursue a career in the fiercely competitive field of sports management, this course is a professional’s roadmap. You will gain in-depth exposure to the breadth of challenging work assignments and learn how new media and global growth are opening up unprecedented opportunities for job seekers with a sense of adventure.

You will receive insider advice and interact with industry professionals who will help you understand where the real job opportunities lie, build a unique skill set, and create a resume that makes you stand out. You will be introduced to executive recruiters, team executives, career coaches, and other sports business professionals who will give you the necessary tools that can turn your interest into an actionable game plan for beginning a career in the business of sports. This course is a one-stop shop that will clear up the complicated roadmap leading from sports passion to a career.

A tentative list of guest speakers includes Rick Welts (president, Golden State Warriors); Jamie Zaninovich (deputy commissioner/COO, Pac-12 Conference); Ted Robinson (sportscaster, San Francisco 49ers); Al Guido (president, San Francisco 49ers); Ros Gold-Onwude (basketball commentator); and Andy Dallin (president, ADC Partners).

Andy Dolich, President, Dolich Consulting

Andy Dolich is the director of professional development at the University of San Francisco MA in Collegiate Athletics Program and teaches sports business at Menlo College. He has held executive positions in the NFL (San Francisco 49ers), the NBA (Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers), MLB (Oakland A’s), and the NHL (Washington Capitals). He is the “sports business insider” for NBC Sports Bay Area.
