We are living in a period of unprecedented uncertainty and exponential change. Traditional methods of strategizing and money-making are no longer as effective as they once were; we need a new approach that allows us to act with confidence in the midst of this uncertainty. Adventurous Thinking supplies you with the tools to innovate and thrive, even when times are in flux. Adventurous Thinking is based on the concept of multiple intelligences and can help bounce you out of your ordinary expert thinking and into the realm of possibility and bearable discomfort. In this course, you will learn to apply the Five Lenses of Adventurous Thinking—negative space, thinking sideways, thinking backward, rethinking, and parkour—to your own project or issue. Each lens and the tools within it will be explained, then practiced, individually and in groups. As you learn to use Adventurous Thinking, you will develop the habit of plotting innovative strategies and continually scanning for adjacent opportunities. You will learn how to experiment with diverse points of view that lead to unexpected insights and connections, and unconventional, but successful, problem-solving. Our new reality requires a new level of personal resilience and creative confidence. Adventurous Thinking puts the tools to reach those goals into your hands.
