Expanding on the knowledge learned in the initial Excel Tips and Tricks course, this interactive, hands-on workshop will teach you additional exciting, time-saving techniques that will boost your performance in accomplishing your Excel projects. You will learn how to filter a database quickly for specific information criteria (AutoFilter); link sheet tabs of information and link Excel files to create interactive summary reports (Linking); protect your data from being overwritten when requesting data entry assistance from others (Protection); efficiently identify and remove duplicate entries from your database (Remove Duplicates); instantly create subtotal lines in your database (Subtotal feature); effectively sort data and create a custom sort based on months of the year or cell color (Sorting); and automate repetitive tasks by recording a simple Macro (Macros). By the end of the workshop, you will have learned powerful interactive techniques that will help you complete your Excel projects more efficiently and productively.

Students must have a good working knowledge of Excel and are required to bring a laptop computer (preferably Windows-based) to class. Note to Mac users: Although the class will be taught on the Windows platform, the techniques and handout presented will be applicable to the Mac platform as well.

Due to its short format, this workshop may not be taken for Credit or a Letter Grade.
