The freedom to be yourself is grounded in a strong understanding of your own personal values. That understanding brings with it a sense of happiness, empowerment, and fulfillment, but it can also feel elusive. For many people, especially women, you’re expected to do it all: work hard, have a successful career, take care of your family, maintain your health, and make it all appear effortless. How do you take time to understand and prioritize yourself when so often it feels like there’s no space for that? With the right tools, it’s easier than you think.
This course is an uplifting, no-nonsense workshop designed to help you take the time to discover your core values, understand why living by them matters, and provide you with the courage and conviction to lead a happy and productive life. Through scientifically informed lectures, guided discussions, and thoughtful reflections, you will explore your own core values and learn tools to help you apply them to many facets of your life, including work, home, and personal relationships. You will also understand how to identify obstacles or “blockers,” like false narratives or conditioned fears, that prohibit you from realizing your full potential. Students will leave the course with a foundational understanding of the science that supports the importance of living your values, practical tools to both recognize those values and live by them, and a unique measurement system or “compass” designed to help you center yourself when you fall out of alignment.
