Adobe Lightroom is a powerful editing, organizing, and adjustment program used by more amateur and professional photographers than any other software program available today. It’s accessible to every photographer at every level and can have a significant impact on your photography and production flow. Our objective in this course is to create understanding and ease with this process. These Lightroom tools will help you to create stunning images that match your vision.

In this course, you will learn how to download photographs and create a logical file structure to organize, edit, and keep track of all images. We will learn how to easily locate and retrieve photographs, and how to prepare images for viewing, posting online, producing books, and printing. We will cover methods for correcting and enhancing exposure, contrast, white balance, color, and details; for using presets and plugins; and for creating effortless black-and-white conversions. We will also work with tools for local adjustments of highlights, shadows, definition, focus, and noise reduction. These techniques will provide a menu of options for quickly enhancing your images. This course will support your confidence and ability to get out there and shoot with enthusiasm in post-production and workflow.

This course is for students of all levels, although some prior experience with photography and computers is expected. Students will need a laptop computer with the most recent version of Lightroom installed.
