Once I'm enrolled in courses, how can I get my course information?
Continuing Studies will mail you confirmation materials within two weeks of your registration.
You can also view your course information at any time, including location and textbook information,
in the MyCSP section of our website.
How can I drop a course?
You have until 5:00 p.m. on the day before the third class meeting to
drop your course and receive a refund. For online courses, the drop deadline is 5:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of the class. All drop requests must be submitted
in writing, by email (continuingstudies@stanford.edu), fax (650-725-4248), or in person. You can also drop a course in the MyCSP section. Dropping a course is the responsibility of the student; notifying an instructor of your desire to drop is not sufficient notice. Please note that some workshops and events may have special refund deadlines. Special deadlines will always be indicated with the course description.
Will I receive a refund if I drop my course?
In order to be granted a full tuition refund, you must cancel your
registration in writing by 5:00 p.m. on the day before the third class meeting.
For online courses, the drop deadline is 5:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of the class.
The registration fee and course fees are non-refundable.
Can I use the Stanford libraries? What is the ID card, and how do I get it?
Continuing Studies students may be granted limited library privileges at the discretion of the Stanford University Libraries Privileges Desk (located in Green Library). To apply for borrowing privileges, please take your ID card, which is printed in the upper right-hand corner of your confirmation letter, and a photo ID (such as your driver's license) to the Green Library Privileges Desk between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you wish to use the library but do not need borrowing privileges, your ID card will admit you to Green and Meyer Libraries. Please consult the Privileges Desk about access to other University libraries. At this time, Stanford Continuing Studies students cannot be granted access to library facilities online.
What happens if I lose my ID card?
You may request another copy of your confirmation materials be sent to you
by calling our office at (650) 725-2650 or automatically in the MyCSP section.
Can I get a Stanford email address?
No. Only Stanford faculty, staff, and matriculated students who have been formally admitted to an undergraduate or graduate program are eligible for Stanford email addresses.
Can I get access to Stanford facilities, such as the golf course and sports facilities?
No. Only Stanford faculty, staff, and matriculated students who have been formally admitted to an undergraduate or graduate program are eligible to use those facilities.
I have moved. How can I give you my new address?
Email your name and new address to continuingstudies@stanford.edu and mention that you have changed addresses. We will make sure your new address is entered into our mailing list, so you can continue to receive our catalogues. You can also update your contact information automatically in the MyCSP section.
