How will I know which books to purchase?
You can find a list of textbooks for your course in the confirmation letter
you received in the mail or in the MyCSP section. Textbooks and course materials are available at the campus branch of the Stanford Bookstore, lower level, in a section designated "Continuing Studies." The bookstore is open weekdays from 7:45 a.m.-9:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Books can also be ordered online from the Stanford Bookstore. Visit their Textbook Ordering and select "Continuing Studies" as both the campus and the department.
What is a course reader, and where do I purchase it?
A course reader is a compilation of articles and essays that your instructor has assembled for your course. These can be purchased at the Stanford Bookstore, lower level, in the section designated "Continuing Studies." Course readers can also be ordered online from the Stanford Bookstore. Visit their Textbook Ordering and select "Continuing Studies" as both the campus and the department. If the Bookstore is out of course readers, you can order on from the Course Reader desk (located on the lower level). The Bookstore will need at least 24 hours to print your course reader. You may also order a course reader by phone from the Order Department (650-725-6136, ext. 328).
Where are courses held?
All Stanford Continuing Studies courses take place on the Stanford campus, unless otherwise noted in the course description. Many courses take place in or near the Main Quad. Please read our directions to campus and to specific campus buildings.
We will notify you of the course location in your confirmation
letter or at the confirmation step of the online registration process.
You can also view your current enrollments and course information,
including textbooks and locations, in the MyCSP section.
If you register less than 24 hours before the course begins,
please call us at (650) 725-2650, and we will confirm your registration and give
you the course location. We cannot give out course locations until you have registered and paid.
Do I need a parking permit?
No parking permits are needed on campus after 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, and not at all Saturday - Sunday.
Where should I park?
Please see our directions and parking section for parking advice. You can find parking areas for each building and print maps of campus on the Stanford searchable map.
