Formulating Business Strategy: A Workshop

(WSP 08)

This workshop will give students new perspectives on what it means to develop strategy. We will discuss how you might accomplish this in an organizational setting—most especially, your own; what obstacles you may encounter along the way, and how to overcome them. Real-world criteria for evaluating strategies will be presented, followed by a step-by-step description of a process that has delivered high-quality, successful strategies to corporations worldwide in hundreds of engagements. The methods are designed to develop commitment to the resulting strategies, while addressing both organizational and content issues that lead to success. In discussion and exercises we will focus on how students can best tailor this material to their own situations.

Due to its short format, this course cannot be taken for Credit.
