Awaken the Actor Within You (DRA 199)
Discover increased expressivity, spontaneity, power, and creativity through the joy of acting. Acting is life enhancing, culturally enriching, and just plain fun. This course will include relaxation techniques, technical work on voice and text, games, and acting exercises to help push you to your creative limits. Rediscover play and enjoy the experience of speaking and performing some of the world’s greatest dramatic literature within a safe and supportive environment. This course will give you the tools and vocabulary to approach the creative world of the actor and playwright. It will culminate with in-class work on selected scenes from dramatic texts supplied by the instructor.

All levels of experience are welcome.
