Using Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Fireworks: Graphics Production for the Web (CS 38)
In this hands-on course, students will learn basic graphics production skills for the Web. Topics will include an overview of Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Fireworks, digital image basics, image formats, image manipulation, digital camera and scanner usage, finding free artwork on the Web, rollover effects, image maps, and how to use slicing to make images seem to load faster.
Students must be familiar with computer basics and should
be familiar with the Internet. We will be using Dreamweaver,
Fireworks, and Photoshop on the Windows platform; however,
since graphics and the Web are cross-platform, students
can apply what they learn to other computer platforms.
